hey all,juz wondering, for those who have experience in using either of these products to share about it's effectiveness :D

or if u have any other good products to introduce, please kindly share :D

Personally, I'd say moongel. It does its job well and doesn't cut out too much of the natural ringing tone of the drums.

well it kinda depends on what u define effective.

rings will definitely dampen more then a single moongel due to surface area. but if u want abit of ring still...moongel is the way.

i personally would prefer moongel so as not to totally kill the overtones of the drum.

hmm...but according to some ppl, they say that moongel isnt really good in the long run as it wil lose its adhesiveness and get all squashy after awhile, ive recently heard about the vater 'buzz killer' though,u guys might wanna try it out and give more in-depth details about it?

Moongel will lose adhesiveness and deformed and gets 'cracky' in the long run. Vater Buzzkill is a better alternative but the good ol' ring is up there as well.
