Retubing my blackstar Ht-20 Studio head

Hi,

Thinking of re-tubing my stock power tubes and preamp tubes in my blackstar ht-20 head. Stock tubes are TAD tubes, 2xel34bstr and 2xecc83s.
The amp sounds great, just that I would like to try out other tubes. One good thing its cathode biased, I can just put the power tubes in without biasing. Anyone has nice tube recommendations?

Saw good reviews on tung sol el34b. Quoted by a dude in some forum:

"The Tung-Sol EL34B's have tremendous bass presence compared to the stock EL34. They were noticeably different in the way they sounded. The Tung-Sol EL34'B had better, fuller, brighter, and all around warmer tone. At low volume they sound similar to 6L6 tubes but once you crank them up you get that gooey EL34 tone but with more saturation, presence, and volume."

Thinking of whacking a pair matched of el34b tungsol and a pair of balanced triode tungsol 12ax7 or a pair of ruby 12ax7. More of a high gain person.:twisted:
