I love Ringo. The song is nice but not great. As a Beatle fan who has read tons of books about them, I could follow the "storyline" he sings in the verses. And it's great. Gives me goosebumps. It's sad but true that none of them can ever outlive the shadow of the Beatles legacy, but hey, it earns them shitloads of money, probably one of the reasons why Ringo chose to base 3/4 of his song on his ex-band even though the song is titled "Liverpool 8".
