Quote function broken?

Seems the "quote" button might be broken. Thought it was just my browser but seems other users have ended up posting the same.

When clicking the button it returns: [ QUOTE=$originalposter]{$pagetext}[/QUOTE]
Might be the extra space in the quote tag, perhaps.
