Pickups.

That site is not based in sg? I dont know how to install pickups so shops would be a better option.
How about if the budget was changed to 150? Would that help?

if it aint broken why fix it?

anyway, just do a search on soft and it will reveal a handfull of results. different pickups react differently from different type of wood. that is why you have to do a decent amount of homework instead of suka suka anyhow whack just to save you money in a long run.

of course, you can ask any shop to recommend. I'm sure that they'd be more than glad to assist you.

too much gain will get muddy, you want it crushing yet clear at the same time. Save up, expand your budget to a damn lot, get a really good pair of pickups, and you won't ever change them, if you want some really bad ass output, go active, SD blackouts are good. If you want passive, try a Dimarzio X2N/ Super 2 (bridge/neck) combo.

hmm, first off whats the real reason for you to change your pickups?
is it because everyone is doing it?
before that may i ask you if you have reached the full potential of your stocked pickups?

its all about you. you control the instrument, not the other way around.
the effects that you use and how you set plays a part.

it doesnt matter if you change to a good pickup.
but if the player doesnt know how to control the instrument, then whats the point?
