Need help on Bass pickups

I haven't tried changing bass pickups, despite being a bassist for quite a while. I'd like to ask if an Active bass guitar's pickups can be replaced with passive bass pickups. Thanks =)

yea! if you're talking about active pickups like EMGs to passive ones like barts. but think you got to change the pots or something, not too sure about tt

no holes need to be made... passive pups and active pups use the same type of pots... however u might wanna make sure that ur cavity has enough space for a battery or 2 =]

that's true otherwise it might have to be slotted under your volume, tone knobs.
and there may be a bulge like my friend's bass.
