Why would he attempt something like that? I know the answer would probably be something along the lines like to achieve self actualization or something, but really. If I had a wife and kid I wouldn't risk my life just to achieve something for myself. Don't get me wrong, I love this "Into The Wild(great movie btw)" stuff, but I'd say the chances of something going wrong in this guy's case is 75%.
