Hey guys. We are CommuniTEH Productions, a bunch of 20-somethings who will be staging a musical this July. It's a light-hearted musical about five modern day women, each with their own quirks but otherwise quite ordinary. Yet there's also a man in town who writes fairytales based on inspiration from these women's lives - does he write a true reflection of them? Or is real life far more interesting than what fairytales portray? Throw in lots of humour and an apocalypse, and we're pretty sure you'll be entertained.
The script and songs have pretty much been finalized, so we're now moving to the next stage of recruiting musicians. Therefore! If you can do the following, we want you:
1. Musicians. We're looking for violinists, cellists, clarinetists, guitarists, bassists, drummers and keyboardists who can play decently. However, as we haven't yet finalized the instruments we need, feel free to contact us even if the instrument you play isn't on the list. Our plan is to record a band playing in a studio, and then play these recordings during the musical - however, some of you will also get to perform during the musical itself.
2. Composers. We're currently needing three songs to be original compositions.
3. Music arrangers. People who can re-arrange existing songs to suit the needs of the musical, e.g. by doing stripped down versions.
4. Conductors. People who can conduct musicians in playing either classical or contemporary music.
If you are any or all of the above, do contact communiteh.productions@gmail.com and state any relevant experiences you have!
Just a final note that none of us are doing this for money, and involvement is on a purely voluntary basis! However, we promise that you will find it a fulfilling experience, just as we have so far
