Looking for bands to perform on the 27th Feb!

We are looking for 3-4 bands to perform with us at The Stage @ Jericho's on the 27th February, from 7.30pm to 10pm.

The Stage @ Jericho's is a social enterprise that aims to provide opportunities for aspiring artistes to perform and all our profits will go towards local community service programmes under YMCA. As such, we will unfortunately be unable to offer performing acts commission, and we would appreciate if every performing act is able to help us sell 10 tickets priced at $5 each (this is a promotion price for friends of bands). If you are interested, do apply through this google doc link:

Why need musicians perform and yet sell tickets? Perhaps all organisers should STOP taking advantage of musicians! Please note that musicians still need to factor in studio and transport costs.

Don't waste monies, should spend more time in studio jammin better!

just to share..me and the band performed there before.we even kick start our band there!no issue on selling the tickets as it goes to charity in the first place.all the best for uni-Y and YMCA :)

Dear community,

Allow me to share the social cause that Jericho's champion. We are a group of students from SMU who are passionate about music and the idea of how music can bring people from diverse backgrounds together. We exist to be a platform for local musicians to come together, gain the exposure of performing to a live crowd and to network with other music enthusiasts.

Our outdoor rooftop location is the best suited for an intimate performance setting as it provides up-and-coming bands with a space to perform to a live crowd.

Jericho's second social aim is to champion other community service causes by using our profits to fund various community projects under Uni-Y SMU/YMCA. They include Y Food of Love, Y Spring Clean and Craft It. More information on where the profits goes can be found on www.facebook.com/uniy.smu

We understand that musicians have costs to bear and we try our best to compensate in other ways (e.g. we have recently started providing photoshoots for musicians who perform for us, and they can use these photos for their future edms)!
Musicians who performed for us has found our platform helpful, and so we hope to continue to provide value.

Thank you for the feedback, though! We always strive to better ourselves and constantly try to improve our business model. Please write in to thestage.jerichos@gmail.com for all other suggestions on how we can improve. :)
