Intro: Lifehouse

Lifehouse

Think I will add mine here.

I'm James, 19 years old this year, going to Tekong soon. First, learnt classical guitar back in '98, quitted not long as I didn't like to read music then. Fast forward, to 2001, when I started playing the acoustic guitar to lead simple worship songs at church groups. I was more of a drummer back then.

It was only in late 2002 and 2003 when I finally got my hand on an electric guitar, it was a purple Ibanez Gio which I borrowed from my friend, which has pretty old strings on as well as a 15 watts Ibanez amp. My first influence was Mark Tremonti (Creed), Lifehouse, The Calling as well a worship genres.

It's until only late last year when I took lessons from Justin (All Music) that I really improved. I still remembered that he commented that my playing "sucked"! After one year of non-stop drilling by him, I have improved tremendously by my own humble standards, but one can never be too good. There's always something new to learn. I'm also taking lessons from Beez right now, there's still alot to learn from him as well.

I have since returned my friend the Ibanez guitar and amp.

I'm using:
Parker Nitefly (Might trade-in for EBMM John Petrucci Model)
US Masters Telecaster (Bill Lawrence Humbuckers)
Gibson SG 61' Reissue
Maestro Prototype Acoustic (Brass Pins with 12s PB)
Line 6 Flextone III XL 2x12
MXR 6 Band EQ
Crybaby 535Q
Turbo Rat with 3 Way Switch Mod
John Pearse Strings

Main Influences now:
John Petrucci (Dream Theater)
Mark Tremonti
Hillsong's Guitarists
Doyle Dykes
Christian Alternative Rock

Playing in an Christian alternative rock band.

Yup thats my intro. Cheers!
