How to get this tone (ref. to YouTube video)

I've settled for Craftsman ST30 black strat and a Line 6 IV Spider 15w from city music.
Just wondering if my amp can take in other brands of pedals other than the Line6 pedal. Right now I don't know what a multi-effects processor is about, but I see this Korg pedal look-alike thingy here. Can I link this up with my Line 6 amp?

Having trouble getting the tone i want. Anyone care to share on how to get this kind of tone?

I'm trying to get this on the insane channel, don't know if it's the correct one.
Overdrive & bass maxed, with Mids and Treble slightly over half.

Thanks!

This tone is not one you can find on the Insane channel. From what I hear,
1) Bass is approx 3
2) Mid 6
3) High 7+
4) It's not very high gain. Certainly should not be maxed out. Perhaps 70% at most.
5) There's a bit of reverb/echo trailing behind. Nothing to obvious, but still there.
6) Single Coil pickup. You can't find the signature fat/heaviness of the humbucker in that tone.

Hi GoliathZero,

I'll try the settings mentioned above. By single coil do you mean the topmost pickup? Sorry I'm still new with electric guitar terminologies.
Thanks.

Ah... my mistake. I just took a look at your guitar model. Single coils are a TYPE of pickup, with only one "side" to them. Their counterparts are the heavy and fat sounding humbuckers, which look like two singlecoils merged into one. Your guitar is equipped only with single coils.

As for which pickup, I suggest you try all of them and see which fits the most.

For your information,

my guess is that it would be the neck pickup (nearest to your fingerboard), middle pickup or both the neck and middle pickups...
