Hey guys,
For all those out there doing cover bands and are crazy about the right tone, is there a single website or forum that lists down the actual amps and pedals used by original artists for each song?
For those of you have amp modellers like POD HD500x or GT 100, will it be helpful for you to recreate a tone if you know what actual amps and pedals were used for a particular tone? Currently, I know there are tone exchange places for individual Multieffects processors (like http://line6.com/customtone/), but they are specific to that processor. So you can't download that tone for others. So I am wondering if there is a single website that tells you the chain of effects and amps for a song rather than give a download link to a tone library. Will such a site be useful?
