hil. i currently have a aleses multimix usb 8fx which i use for recording and stuff. the qn here, i have a band and i would like the band to play and here all the sound through headphones via the multimix itself.
drums > miced > cables > mixer
2 guitars > cables > mixer
bass > cables > mixer
vocals > cables > mixer
so most prolly i would have around 5 or 6 inputs through the mixer.
for the guitar and bass is not miced from an amp as i would like to make it like a "silent-headphones" session.
from what i understand, to let all the band mates here through headphones,
audio out > multiple output splitter > earpiece > BOOM!
the problem about using too much splitter is that so call the output power has to be shared and i dont want this.
SO THE QN IS,
1. is there any way that the band can hear without using a splitter, maybe through some designated hardware?
2. if there is no designated hardware other than a splitter, is there a splitter that is powered so that it wont divide the power from the mixer?
3. is there any way to record using my ALESIS as a multitrack output instead of a single stereo file ( i doubt it can be done)
4. the place that sells this stuff.
Thanks guys!
