Guitar Question

Erm...I'm not sure how I should phrase this question...it's from my friend btw...he's using a LP Special II...what would happen if he were to take out the neck pickup and remove the switch...would the guitar still work?

I thank your answers on his behalf...=)

yes it would still work provided the hot wire from the picup goes straight to the input lug of the pot ..its the same config in Tom delonge's strat.. the one humbucker bridge position..

Oh so it's possible if the neck pickup's wire is directly connected to the switch?

Easiest 5 cents advice - consult a tech, since you probably are going to send the guitar to the tech.

i dont think it will work.. cuz the switch connects the pickups..removin the switch means making open circuit ..

it works..definitely if you wire it up correctly.
the switch is just there to toggle between 2 or more pickups.. with one pickup you wouldnt need the switch..
just wire it up straight to jack and it will work..
