Should fit most guitars under "traditional" sizing using GraphTech's size chart:

Some notable brands don't fit - Yamaha (needs sanding), Tanglewood (sanding), Alvarez (not at all), Seagull (not at all). List is not exhaustive.
Not too sure about tonal improvements, but they look much nice than plastic pins.
