Felt strips

Do any of you guys know where i can get some felt strips for my bass drum in Singapore? I was experimenting with my bass drum this afternoon and I was wondering wad kind of a sound could i get with the felt strips since so many professional drumtechs are using it. I also want to test if the sound would be the same as strapping a cloth over the head for my bass drum.

Also, what are felt strips normally made of? Is it kind of rubbery? I just saw their pictures before but i cant imagine how they feel like.

Hmmmm... are u going to put the felt inside the drum? over the entire bass drum? or on the drum head itself? Because if you're gonna paste them on the drum head, i think you might be talking about gaffer tape.

or maybe you're referring those Gibraltar bass drum felt strips?
