Bss sounds very soft

hey,im new to this forum and reletivly new to bass.

recently i just bought a 2nd hand Fender JB62-us and it sound very soft compared to my squier affinity.
is this normal?

Soft as in not as loud? If yes nothing wrong with that. Just turn the amp up a bit more.

yea,its not as loud even though i've set eq on both bass and volume of amp to the same.
could the electronics be faulty?

anw,im using a fender rumble 15.

try adjusting the pickups closer to the strings
