Hi there,
Lemonfish is looking for a new bassist (ex-bassist has family expansion plans in the works). We are focused on writing originals but do play covers from time to time.
We are in our late 20s to early 40s so looking for someone who has a mature mindset and playing attitude. Simply put, show up on time and don't waste studio time. Able to commit to learning our tunes (we have about 15 relatively simple songs ready to go and plenty of ideas).
At heart we are a leisure band, no real intention to spend $ recording albums and we jam maybe twice a month on the weekends. Do the odd gig or open mic now and then so we are not like hardcore wanna make it big kind of guys. Having said that, we really enjoy the music we make and have great fun free jamming and improvising in the studio.
So looking for a creative bassist who can serve the song and who is happy (and able) to play a variety of genres like funk, alternative rock, ballads, punk rock, rock and roll, bit of jazzy bits. If you are a beginner to intermediate and willing to work hard at your craft, take advice well, do contact us. Or if you have musical ideas bursting out of your brains and need a singer, guitar player and drummer to put them together, come join us for a jam!
