Asian rock players

his playing chops are neater and more into sherd style in his younger
hey-days in the 80's. i wonder why certain players de-prove when they age.

gotta agree with dhalif on the bends! digusting to me..

and ya.. he got problem keeping in time and deciding the amount of notes to use per beat or so...

definately not some cold accurate number of notes per beat playing must bend till pitch perfect. Totally different league from shredder's expectations. heck, its groovy music and it sounds very good to me than just a bunch of fast arpegios. Some kind of Santana feel in his playing...very nice.

i do agree to some extent the tone is quite pleasing, i wish i could say the same about his timing and bends.

was almost cringing throughout.

i saw this guy on channel v last night. but it featured his solo career n he was playing rhythm guitar almost all the time..

his playing chops was the best back in the 80's and early 90's with beyond,
in thoses days thier songs have loads of solo and harmonizing and sherding. i would say one of the best in asian rock music, but these days, paul concentrates more on acoustic guitar and song writing for his solo material, even on electric would be some simple bluesy stuff.....

his never-reach-bends are done on purpose methinks.

It is a technique/style of playing, kinda like the old santana style.
