Nik's 18W marshall clone is particularly hot stuff amongst the DIY amp community.

You have a custom amp built like any custom built item. When you know exactly what you want.

Until then it is best to use the off the rack items or the standeard amps until you settle on the tone, response, power that you want/need and then the additional cost/time will be justified.

Don't think I'd like to comment. Don't like the wiring layout, so have no idea how the sound would be.

People tend to like the sound of their own amps mo9re from the psychologicaleffect that I made it and I listen to it in a deeper wya. The real test is when others think that it sounds better than the comparable amps. Fun to do, but not really serious.
