Advice needed on headphones

Sorry if this has been posted up before
Been saving up to set up a bedroom studio lately, and need some advice on getting some studio headphones. I'm hoping to get something bang for the buck and is able to do all the mixing on.

Got two models in mind - the Shure SR440 and the Audio Technica M50, but I'm still open to what the experts have to say.
Your takes, people?

audio technica headphones.

ATHM30s , lower budget. (I have 5.)
ATH Pro 5 or something like that , twice the price of athm30 but still very affordable.

i don't know how it is comparing with the m50, but we all have different ears and wallet budget.

I've used 2 audio technica headphones in the past - gave me many years of good service (and really comfortable too) until the foam finally broke down due to wear and tear. Now using Sennheiser HD555. Would have continued using Audio Technica, but the Sennheiser is a gift from my wife. So better use it...

+1 for the ATH-M50.

There's no absolutes though. Try it for yourself and see (hear?)

The best judge of a headphone/monitor is how well the recordings/mixes you make on it translate in the real world.
