IMPORTANT ; -
Venue For The Band To Be Playing should not & should never be ( Any SBCS's Band's - Main " Consideration " To Play or Not To Play at a particular SBCS Gigs - The Core Objective & Whole Purpose of SBCS Activities - is for SBCS BANDS - TO SOCIALISE & SUPPORT EACH OTHER - as a person and as a Band altogether, as a Family altogether...This is our Purpose." BE INVOLED "

SBCS BANDS PERFORMANCES AT SBCS ( No Matter Where It Is Held ) :
- is indeed Healthy & At Times Pose Some Opportunities for the BANDS performing here - We just don't know when - - as Club Owners, Event Organisers (any Type) could be there...Even SBCS Members itself would maybe - Recommend the Bands that they themselves feels are GREAT - - to Play somewhere eg Could be in a Club or Anywhere.

So Do Not be Mislead - that Heavy Rock or Metal Band - would never have the Opportunity to play in a Club ( as a Hobbyiest Band ) though the fact remains that - Clubs need Commercial Music to be played in clubs which is very true -BUT -- - You might too if The Band has Good Charisma, Showmanship - to play once in a while at a club ( Not Paid Gigs)..beside Concerts held by Event Organisers.

The Core Objective Remains: - You Don't Pay To Play, Of course we hope and encourage that - Bands here get Paid to Play - That's for sure.

New ! - But you might Need To Pay - To Have Your Band's Video Deleted Upon your Own Request - Subject to Ron's and SBCS Approval -- Kekekeke !

( 2 ) - Similarly, his time - we will start the 5th SBCS GIG at - 2 pm and ends at 11pm - " a 10 hrs " of Fun & PlayTime for SBCS Bands

EXPERIENCES: - tells us from the all Previous Gig/Meetup - that after 11pm - lots of Member Bands actually had to leave for home..or are feeling very tired

( 3 ) - Every Selected Band To Play - will be Given - 25 minutes including - Setup and PlayTime.
So - The Time Slot for ( The Coming 5th SBCS Meetup and Gig ) will be:- as per below ( and There can only be - 18 Bands Playing ) - if we start at 2pm -

sbc commitee dudes & al ...

very sorry I cant do this gig ... kena kid sitting duties followed by photoshoot then gig at nite till late ...

to all bands - break em legs ..

Eric, James, Jack & all - OWE U KARIPUP FOR THE NEXT ONE ..

WriteOuts: - The 5th SBCS Gig:

Some Hick-Ups Encounter Here: - ( It’s OK - We All Learn To Better Managed It Next Time)

( 1 ) - SBCS regret to inform that the Gig had to be adjourn to an hour later from 2 to 3pm ( Due to the Heavy Downpour Of Rain) – resulting in some band members cannot be there on time ( This is understandable ) ….- thus all Slots were progressively push Forward and the Entire Gig ended at 1am in the Morning ..17th Apr 2011 ( Sunday Morning )….Goshhhhhhhhh

( 2 ) - From This Gig – SBCS Committee have to learn to better Managed and Smoothen this Kinda Situation – ( myself and jack) was on “Spot” and is in a Tough & Difficult Situation…So we agrre that; -

( a ) Bands Have to be On-Time To Play and To End at a Given Time Slot from Now Onwards ( No Question about it)..

We at SBCS appreciate your kindest understanding here– as the last-Band Slot Time Ends at 11.30pm ( So we must also spare a thought for them – as all bands will be affected too)..thus the Stepping Up of These – “Time Control Measures here from now on. “

SBCS bands Thus – Please Stick To Your Time Slot…from now On..Thank You All

Committee also very poor thing – Standing from – 2.00pm till 11.30pm ( is no joke)..especially all of us are not = 16 or 17 years old anymore..kekeke…And we actually can’t claim “ Massage Fees from Soft Forum” here ( as we are all Volunteers ) and not all our Wify will do the Massaging for us..

What Is The Difference From ( The 1st SBCS Gig) to now as in this ( 5th SBCS Gig) ?

(1) I think people began to really feel more & more “ Comfortable ” towards each other ( For The Many I saw ) who were there frequently eg bands that had join and play there for a couple of times and some musicians who were not playing but yet was there for so many hours just to support the event bringing with them Friends and Supporters ( THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH).

It is not about How Good An Individual Bands Is here at SBCS ( Because – Aiyah No Need To Say - There Are So Many Good and Great Bands In SBCS )..as can be seen in the Videos as Captured by RON..( Videos does created An Opportunity for The Bands – if someone stumble upon it and is interested in your Band they would just wanna contact the Bands or even a Single Band Member from that Bands) for Whatever Reasons ..and it Happened and has been Happening ..

That’s what the Video Can Provide above right? I mean somehow if we don’t discount that. …But There are many Other Things in any SBCS Gig – that I realize the Video Can Never Be Able To CAPTURE …

WHY ? – Because the Video – is Stationary – it only capture ‘The Band Performances “ That’s All – But That is The CORE PURPOSE of the Video Cam…

The Video cam cannot be Turning Around North South East West, Up Down in whatever every angle to capture -- THE MOMENTS, THE ATMOSPHERE THERE, THE HAPPENINGS AROUND APART from the Focus-Bands that is Playing right there at the Point in time at - the Gig ….

I'm Talking About ….” THE FUN THING “ here

I do not know how to describe it here ( but I can feel it on the day itself) - - I just feel that The 5th Gig is no Longer like the 1st Few Gigs as people began to Loosen Up ( as the Ice were Broken ) and the Kind of Feelings when you Look Around You and you see – all your “ FRIENDS AROUND“ not STRANGERS anymore ..and… you just feel ..GOD-DAMN- GOOD.

You see Bands bringing their GFs, BFs, Entire Family or Families, you see their Dad/Mum, their Grand-Dad even there supporting , you see their Classmates there …and when you look at all these LOVELY FACES.. It was “ All Smiles and Cheerings “ People Were Just HAPPY ..and …I just Love that Kinda Feeling when I look around me ..I see very very young children, young children to schoolboys, to teenager to adults and we were talking mingling with each other ..Simply Awesomeeeeeee ( See my Pics at FaceBook)

I Do Not have a Good Camera my Bros and Sis here ( as I couldn’t afford one) – So -I actually used my “ iPhone 4 Camera “ and just trying my very best to “ Capture the Good Times & Those Beautiful Moments & Memories Of The SBCS – 5th Gig – Hopefully These pictures of mine here is able to tell a little something about What the 5th SBCS Gig is all about …( to the best I could ) and I hope you would all love it .. I hope.

As its 5th Theme is titled “ Thirst” .... So am I - - “ Thirsty “ seriously for All The Fun and Great Time we had with all of you Softies here ( this past Friday 16th Apr ) at Chocolate bar and I hope to meet and see all you Bros and Sis again – on
