Where have all the bassists gone??

agree with the "vintage fender IV" idea.

mm altho it's true that 35" improves the low B (laklands!), 34" low B response is usually of a disadvantage due to the neck and structure of the entire bass rather than the scale. i have an ibanez GIO (my first bass) and the low B works fine.

i thought we were speaking of professionals? haha...

Andrew Teo, ex-cynical annihilation. he plays jazz now, great stuff (my shi fu in jazz bass).

hey warwickw, actually i though you might fit the bill... unless you've went pro since i list visited the forum? :)

were you the bassist from the nus jazz band? not sure if i got the right person.

no im not, i used to lurk around the bassplayers forum before it became quiet. not sure most of the guys went - any idea?

i was from nus though and im prob your junior, graduated just a couple of years back. i *might* have seen you play at matric one of the years :)

Lost touch with most of them too...

Yeah me just grad couple of yrs ago too, nowadays it's rest and relax after work =)

where's matric?

bassists? they're probably at home, playing their acoustic guitar or banging their drumsticks on their tables or BOTH.

my bassist cousin hates being bass. he wants to be guitarist. i dont see what's wrong with being a bassist....

give me a guitar, a bass and a drumset, i'll fool around with all three but end up back on the bass.
