just check out the soft online store and found out bout the zoom multi effects pedal, wanna know if it is useful? any users keen to share their opinions?

I use the G2.1 (u can hear a short sample at Open Mic). I like it as i can have a whole range of effects and what not at a fraction of the price of getting individual pedal. But some wld say at a fraction of the quality also. But honestly, its good enuf for me as i can also plug in straight into my PC via USB and record.

zoom products are ok i guess for starters. im using a zoom 606 in the mean time. it has all the effects u need. however, the expression pedal that comes with is very limited of space in terms of how high it can go if u know what i mean. overall its ok to get alot of decent tones/sounds. does the work for me.

I use an A2, sound is not the best, but still good enough IMO for the price you are paying, smaller compared to normal multi-effects pedals, but there are enough effects for you to tweak around with..

currently using a 707II.. the expression pedal is rubbish.. i only like 10 effects out of the 70+ inside, namely the mtzone and jc chorus and the dry overdrive.. so i guess multifx are a hit or miss thing.. saving up for individual pedals, then i can finally sell this bitch away..

hehe...help me sell my behringer too :P

well, yeah multifects (in general) is a some sort of TRIAL of the pedals u like...coz when u start roaming the land of Pedalism...u might not know how all the pedals sound (flanger,chorus,delay,reverb)....multifects help u familiarise with the sound and then u will start GAS-ing over individual pedals..

Me using G2.1u now...great effects pedal, though I don't really utilise its functions well...only using its overdrive and tremolo only...will stop using it only until I get an amp that has a similar sound and boost...

Hi everyone,
I have used zoom for quite sometime and I found that the G series is better sounding than GFX.

Do you guys notice this too or is it just my ear

yup, definitely and all the added features at similar prices eg metronome/beats/tap tempo

used the GFX5 for 2 years ... i wud say if u knows how to tweak it, it can sound really sweet ... but sad to say, it's dying on me soon ... it's a good multi-effects to use and choose the sounds that u like ... and if u have the cash, can goes into individual stompbox ... :D

it's all personal taste ... what u want, how u want it ... player+guitar+effect+amp ... happy rocking and gassing ...

i see...anyways are individual effects always better than multi-effects? lets say a boss ds1 compared to the distortion in a multi-effect pedal.thanks alot.

IMO individual pedal will have better control over it..and it sounds better..
