ZOOM a2.1u acoustic pedal

Well, it depends on how you use it. Whether its for the guitar modelling or just for effects.

For me, I bought the pedal because my acoustic doesn't have a onboard EQ and volume control. So the pedal sort of became a volume and EQ pedal where I can mute my guitar and do some sound adjustments, Not to mention that it works great in providing reverb. But I think that's all I'll use it for.

In terms of sound, its pretty decent, I think they did a decent job of replicating the clear balanced tone of the Martin models(nothing beats the real thing of course =D). The Gibson models listed are lacking in character. If you can lay your hands on say a real J-45 which is listed one of the models in the pedal, you'll know what I mean. Somehow it doesn't sound as authentic/real enough as compared to the Martin models.

Hope it helps. =D

Acoustic pedals... I've never tried this particular one, but imo most, if not all, acoustic pedals sound fake. Digital kinda sound. I used to own a BOSS AC-2. Bought it for convenience. Sounded sub-par on archtops but was absolutely horrible on Teles/Strats. So if your intention is to use it for convenience, so you can have acoustic AND electric sounds with the same guitar, i'd recommend you go down and try it personally on YOUR guitar, because it differs from guitar to guitar.

To clarify the matter, this pedal is not meant for you to use on an electric guitar, cause it sounds very crappy even though it allows you to choose electric guitar pickups under the input option. You will get better result using this pedal with acoustic guitars.

Nothing beats the sound of a real acoustic. So if you're intending to use this with an electric to save the hassle of bring two guitars, sorry to inform you that its not going to work. This pedal IMO works best with Acoustic guitars.

Exactly, it isn't... I'm not sure, is this comparable to the Fishman Aura Imaging one? I talked to Mr Simon Tan at Sinamex, he said that using a good acoustic on the pedal is a waste of money too... So if you're looking to improve an already very good guitar (say Taylors etc.) then you're wasting money.

Cool it may be, but it is a complete waste of 500 bucks if you have no use for it. The same 500 can be used to buy a decent acoustic guitar.
