Is Paul local? Isn't he Malaysian but just working in Singapore?
he's in the local music scene right? and he promoted Singapore music at the Made in SG concerts at the esplanade few years back with Tania and Ublues. Which brings me to my next fav player and inspiration, Trevor Jalla of Ublues. That guy gets better every time I see him. And he sold me my good buddy my Tele =]
And because of Danny Loong I keep doing his B.B King raking thing he always does with such conviction.
Adam Lee is killer too. I saw him read the intro of Spain, the fast bit, when he wasn't ready, and it was still note perfect. You could see it in his eyes he was like oh shit I wasn't ready! He's a big time producer here.

Hmm not to start a fire here, but after all the thread title is "your favourite local guitar player.the local scene."
So despite the fact that Paul plays in Singapore, has had gigs here, etc - Technically that does not make him Singaporean.
Unless the thread title was "Your favourite guitar player in the local scene", I'd say Paul isn't exactly "eligible" for nomination here.

I do agree that yes we should talk about local Singaporean, serve NS players. I just think we could mention guys who has done their part in making you and me pink/blue IC holders better guitar players and music lovers.
My mentor and great friend is one of the best guitar player/shredder I've ever seen, unfortunately he's Filipino. He has been here for a decade, probably inspired enough people out there to take up the challenge of mastering guitar and music seriously.
While I don't agree with your premise about local and locally based players, I will not say anything else about it to contest. Appreciate your cordial reply!

That being said there are also other "non-local" guitarists that I really like, but just not in this thread because I think we should try our best to stick to the TS's topic.
