Revived this thread.. I'm kinda interested in this too, heard that the effects are good. Thinking of pairing it with my sd-1. Anyone tried one?

I've seen a video demo of it. The sounds and immense number of effects seem very good. The one biggest problem seems to be that you only have 2 switches so you can't have instant patches on demand, you have to scroll through them.

No first hand experience with it though.

hi, the yamaha magic stomp is an overall good pedal with customizable effects using a software that comes along with the pedal. It has 99 preset banks and 99 user banks. I generally recommend it for recording purposes due to the adjustability of the sound. For live shows the 2 buttons which move from left to right patch wont help much and i wont recommend it for that purpose. for a live demo u can go down to yamaha and ask any of the staff.
