Biography :
XPDC is a Malaysian rock and heavy metal band consisting of Mael, Izo, Man Tobey and Yazid, which comes from the band name Tragedy. Shortly after that, two of the original members, Man and Yazid, left the band.
XPDC began their career in the Malaysian rock scene with the album Darjah Satu (1990) , followed by the albums Timur Barat (1992) and Kita Peng-Yu (1994). Their fourth album, Brutal , was a best-selling album, selling over 450,000 units in 1997. The album also won 4x Platinum and was listed in the Top 5 Best Rock Album category at the 1998 Music Industry Awards. Dozens of their songs received a warm reception on radio stations until they managed to hold the Brutal XPDC Giant Concert at the National Stadium. Featuring Ali as the lead singer, it took place in April 1998 at the National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur. After the departure of their original singer Mael. The concert has recorded its own history when many parties and fans crowned XPDC as the ' Metallica of Malaysia'.
In 2018, XPDC, which is lined up by Ali, Izo, Lola and Eddie, came out with their 8th album.
Only Izo has remained as the longest member of XPDC since its inception and since XPDC's first album.
For the second time ever (first time at the Singapore Indoor Stadium featuring XPDC and Search), long-time legendary guitarist Izo will perform with XPDC in Singapore on the 25th Oct 2025 (Saturday) at the Esplanade Annexe Studio!
