Very good condition 1987 Made In Japan 57 reissue Fender Stratocaster for trade. The guitar has an Alder body, Maple neck and fretboard. The body has been refinished 1957 Aztec Gold colour using Nitrocellulose. As you all know most current American, Japanese and Mexican Fender guitars and basses are finished in Polyurethane. Nitro was used on vintage Fender guitars and currently Fender Custom Shop guitars. Nitro allows the wood to breathe better and it helps the instrument resonant better.
The Nitrocellulose used by Singapore based Italian Master Luthier Luca Quacquarella who did the refinish on this Stratocaster is more similar to vintage nitro finish rather than modern nitro finish that has too much plasticizer mixed into the nitro formula. This Aztec Gold finish on the Stratocaster has zero percent of plasticizer in it. Guitar is 28 years old and it's in a very good condition. No cracks or chips. Neck is in perfect shape, still has tons of fret life. Old Japanese made Fender guitars are known for their superb quality and workmanship. It is as good or even better than American made standard Fender guitars.
