WTS: Yamaha TRB-6 with John East U-Retro Deluxe Preamp

with much reluctance, i am selling my bass...
my bass is a Yamaha TRB-6 equipped with john east u-retro deluxe pre-amp.
very versatile and very dependable.
i am selling it for SGD 1600

I have been infected with GAS! :)
of course, i do reserve the right to retract this bass --> particularly if someone else would buy the item i am "GAS-ing" for, earlier than i can raise the money.

features:
- 24 frets
- runs with a 9v battery -- yes, just 1 battery
- with active and passive switch (u-retro deluxe) -- i had it for about 1year and i am still using the same battery when i first got it. it is either i do not play that much, or the pre-amp does not eat much of the battery's life.
- i am going to include at NEW and UNOPENED 9V battery when you purchase the bass.

some features of the u-retro deluxe pre-amp:
- 3-band eq -- bass/mid/treble; and you can select the frequency for your mids
- volume and pick-up blend knobs
- tone knob -- can be used in either you're on active or on passive mode
- active/passive switch
- pick-up switch -- to activate the blend knob; or to have both pick-ups activated

FYI, i am not the first owner of this bass.
i got this bass last year from another soft member.
it has its share of dings but the tone i get from it is indescribable.
do NOT take my word for it. see and hear it for yourself.

it was posted at RM 4000 that time when i got it.
i am now seeling it for SGD 1600.
NO reservations.
NO trades.
to deal Toa Payoh -- either at our place or at Toa Payoh MRT

feel free to sms me ANYTIME. my handphone is:
nine820 six830

thank you.

i believe its an mij BO?

this is a superb bass IMHO. the east preamp does wonders, esp with that mid freq sweep.

ok, i'll inform my friend abt this, it's the least i can do to make him take his lustful eyes off my TRB-6II

Thanks James for the nice remark.
Yes, it is made in Japan, with bolt-on neck.
It is still available.
I am receiving SMS's but still no takers.
You can still SMS though... no complains from my end.
Again, NO reservations.
