Selling this beautiful and rare acoustic guitar - YAMAHA FG401W made in Japan 1976. It's in great player's condition, top wood has aged nicely to golden brown , very responsive sounding with lotsa clarity. This guitar is perfect companion for those who love to play finger style, light strumming, or bluegrass music. It comes with original Yamaha Deluxe Case.

This guitar model is not full solid. According to Yamaha guitar archive it's all laminated top, back and sides.

Thanx for the headsup AL, but where did you get the information that it is laminated instead of solid wood used on the guitar?

here is what i found from the Yamaha Guitar archive, and it doesnt says anything about laminated wood. Thus, i assume it is solid wood used on the FG401W.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

Try input the model LL16 or LL36 and see whether they mentioned 'solid' as we know that these models have solid top, sides and back.

That and the price aside, this should be a wonderful piece of guitar. I have another model from 1980 all laminated but it is very nice sounding IMHO to my ears.

All the best to your sale.

as per what one basis has said, yamaha archive will indicate if it is solid or not.

And a google on AGF will tell you lots of information about the guitar

Hey you sold me your seagull 3 years ago with a warped truss rod that cannot be replaced and went off the grid. Thanks for that ya? If I wasn't a noob then about guitars wouldn't have been ripped off by you.

Some integrity please in your posting!
