A statement of Alembic legend: sublime craftmanship, carefully selected exotic woods, bespoke hardware and in-house pick-ups all sum up to an as-good-as-it-gets bass.
The playability of this particular bass is hard to beat especially for a 6 string. Soundwise there is great definition and consistency across the entire 24 frets fingerboard. The replacement John East electronics have added more versatility to the sound range compensating for the dense but very beautiful (and pricey) Macassar Ebony top.
At some point in the past the bass was not well looked after. This has been fully rectified by a complete and professional restauration which has brought it back to its original glory with modern electronics. It is now ready to be your pride and joy for its next 20+++ years.
