Hi all, I'm currently putting up my lovely Vox AC4 head and cabinet tube amp set for sale in order to make room for an AC15. This was my first tube amp so it's kind of a bittersweet moment for me. Nevertheless, onwards to progress!

Specs-wise you can check HERE for a full run-down on the features and a nice little demo, but in a nutshell, the Vox AC4 reissue is a 4-watt Class A full tube amp that is designed to capture that classic jangly tone Vox is famous for in a small, manageable environment. But don't let the 4W power rating fool you! This thing has enough muscle to support a small to medium-sized club gig.

Features:

- Tone, Volume, Output Power(4W, 1W, 1/4W) controls
- Preamp: One 12AX7
- Power: One EL84
- Matching cabinet loaded with a 12" speaker
- Power cable + speaker cable included

One of the best things about this amp is that being a Class A amp, it's extremely touch-sensitive; Rolling back your guitar's volume knob or lightening up your pick attack will produce a smoother, cleaner tone. Conversely, hammering down will give out a solid overdrive crunch that rock players will love. Crank it and you can pretty much get into the same tonal territory as Jimmy Page in the Physical Graffiti album. It is also extremely pedal-friendly; Put a TS-style OD pedal in front of it and hear it scream! Slap a treble-booster unit in there and you'll find yourself playing along to Queen and Brian May! The upside with the head and cabinet setup(besides looks!) is that it gives you a 12" speaker as opposed to the 10" ones found on the combo versions, which gives you slightly more headroom and volume to toy around with.

The stock matching cabinet comes loaded with a Celestion VX12 speaker which is designed after the classic Celestion G12M Greenback, but I've swapped it out for a nicely broken in Wharfedale GSH12-30. HOWEVER, with this sale I will include the original speaker. The Wharfedale is designed after the Celestion G12H, which provides a stronger, tighter bass response as compared to the Greenback. Both are rated at 30W power handling, so you can expect a consistent level of speaker efficiency. In all truth, both are in fact pretty good speakers, but it just comes down to a matter of personal taste is all.

Currently, the tubes loaded are an EH 12AX7 and a JJ EL84, both with plenty of tube life left to spare. I will also include an additional Sovtek EL84 as well as a Sovtek 12AX7WA and a 12AX7WB(for those who want to drive their preamp section a wee bit harder). Physical condition is a 9/10; a little bit dusty but will be given a full wipe-down before hand-off. Other accessories included with this sale are of course full paperwork, paraphernalia and purchase information. All this for $350(sells for $480 brand new). So basically, what you get is:

-Amp head
-Matching 1x12 amp cab
-All necessary cables and (maybe not-so-necessary)accessories
-Additional stock speaker
-3 additional tubes

All that. For $350.
