Selling a Vox AC4TV. Used only at home and never brought out for gigs - hence in excellent condition.
Comes with a standard 10" custom Celestion speaker. According to Goose, it can be modded to take a 12' speaker- so this may interest all you mod aficionados who wanna try your hand at modding as I have a 12" celestion seventy-80 for sale as well. Lemme know if you have any interest to get both as a package. You won't regret it- I'll give you a deal that's so irresistible, it'd be downright dumb to refuse.
Tubes have been changed from the stock Russian ones to a Tungsol 12ax7 and a Groove Tubes EL84. (tubes cost me about 60 bucks to change). Don't get the other AC4TVs listed on the classifieds here when you can have mine already loaded with boutique quality tubes.....trust me...the tonal benefits make a world of difference in the amp's sound! (p.s my amp is going for 200 bucks too like the rest anyway so the tubes are on me) PLUS I won't list bullshit like how where the amp is made in. USA big deal ah? If you want a USA made amp, please be my guest and pay 1k and the components will probably be the same except how you'r paying 500% more for labour and "hand-wiring". (its made in China, just like nobody gives a shit about how your iphones and ipads are made in china, and nobody gives a rat's ass about where its made if your amp is solid state anyway
) Anyway for anything above 1k I would honestly rather look at the boutique market compared to big name, mass produced brands.
Selling cheap at 200 bucks(fixed), considering the considerable amount of money spent to change the tubes. The Tungsol and Groove Tubes helped to open up the amp's sonic character considerably and it sounds much bigger too.
