Hey guys,
This is my last and most painful guitar to clear, it's a Greco SE800 Super Sound Strat. It's based on a 60's style strat.
Some of the notable specs are:
Brazilian Rosewood Fretboard (if you refer to the old manuals and catalogues it is stated there)
Japanese Sen Ash Body (very heavy and sustains for ages, I would say near 8lbs in total weight)
Beautiful one piece maple neck
Maxon Vintage wound pickups (before maxon proceeded to focus making on pedals, they handwound pickups)
Original Greco Deluxe Tuners, bridge, trem.
Very mint condition, no dings no scratches, just light pickguard ones and slight blemishes. It's already 34 years old, everything is unmodified and good to go. It used to be an olympic white colour, but has faded into a beautiful cream colour. There was a sticker tag on the back of the strat originally there when it was new from store, you can see the original colour on there!
Tonally I don't have to say much, but Neck and Neck middle have some of the best bell like tones I've heard, even my friends Suhr gave it the nod in that department. It feels great and sounds really good, but it has to go.
Looking for 1650$, feel free to offer me. If you're looking for a vintage strat with feel and great tones, forget the currently build american fenders, these were the prime strats in the Japanese Lawsuit era!
Only trades I'm looking for would be in the form of a Strymon Timeline, A Big Rams head style clone, or JHS/Toneczar pedals + cash. Not looking for anything else.
