Condition: 9.5/10 (near mint; unused)
Cosmetics: 9/10
Price: SGD$1200 (negotiable)
The AX60 is one of the last VCO programmable polysynths from the '80s (1985) - based on the CEM 3394 chip (used in the Sequential Circuits SixTrak ,Split 8, and Max, some Simmons drum modules, and many stand-up video games). Very sweet and gritty CEM sounds. It was produced by Akai to rival the Roland Juno series and had a cult following since.
All 6-voices are working, all parameters and LEDs fully functional, all faders still tight and pots clean. Only flaw is the volume slider is slightly scratchy sometimes (minimally) probably due to age but once set the sound is pristine. Cosmetics wise is brand new with very mild stains at the mod wide panel due to some natural aging and a small crackline at the back corner (was there when I bought it). Otherwise, it looks new. Takes 110v so needs a converter.
If you are interested email me at sonicbrat(at)gmail(dot)com for viewing/trying. Serious buyers only. Cash and carry at my place.
