I was the first caller but the seller only accepts who could arrive at his door first. This is disrespectful and unreasonable. I hope such practices should cease so that this platform can continue to have a fair trading ground between softies.
You see it wasn't a reserve, he accepted my offer but I was far from his house and could only make it later and come on it's peak hour. There was a mutual aggreement but he aspect me to be there in 30 mins.
Ok a seller can set any rules he wishes... but what if more than one buyers appeared before the door in this case? In fact he told me someone is driving down now when he told me to be there in 30 mins. How could that be fair?
If this were to be allowed there won't be fair deals as you may know softies based on trust to deal. I was fortunate to meet fair dealers whom have honoured their words until this one, crap.
Hi Lordie,
I guess you won't mind being one of the lot standing before his door while he decides who had arrived first to seal the deal. I also think you won't mind being the one rushing down and disappointed for not having it because he only deals with the first to arrive and not the first to call to seal the deal. Again I clarify, it wasn't a reserve, it was a mutual agreement, not silly aunties gate crashing into malls during Great Singapore Sale.
At no point did I say the stand was exclusively reserved for the first caller. I've always dealt fast whether as a seller or buyer cos I've had people promise the world and not show up before. Apologies if you don't think that's "fair" but that's the way I've always dealt and I've also been on the receiving end of being too slow to make the seller's preferred timing. I just take it as part and parcel of the tenuous buyer/seller relationship online.
So again, apologies if I've offended you. I didn't think a $20 guitar stand would stir up such a fuss.
