For those who aren't familiar with Tobias, it's the brain child of master bass builder Michael Tobias. Tobias has since been bought out by Gibson and manufactured by them. This piece here is of first-class pedigree, a made-in-USA treasure for a silly price.
Does the whole stingray business and more - modern snap to warm butter. It's got its fair share of nicks, but nothing serious/hideous.
Ash body, maple/purpleheart asymmetrical neck, wenge fretboard, barts quad coil pups, NTMB preamp with push-pull mids toggle (400/800Hz). An estimate from the serial number places it around 2007-2008.
Comes without gig bag, but hey, it's hella cheap.
