I'm thinking of selling off my Timothy S10J.
A few years back I spent $4xx to upgrade the preamp and pickup to a Fishman Premium onboard SOB preamp, which is a UST and Mic combination preamp. Really lovely sounding system that brings out the best in the Timothy.
Timothy S10J Specs:
-All Solid medium Jumbo guitar with solid sitka top and solid ovangkol back and sides.
-Ebony tuner pegs
-Upgraded Fishman Premium SOB dual source preamp
-Thin gloss finish
The guitar plays great, sounds great. Cosmetically there are the usual wear and tear marks on the neck, top and pickguard area (plus a surface scratch at the bottom end of the guitar sidewood, no damage to wood), and I would place the cosmetic condition at 7/10 overall.
I really love this guitar; well aged sitka gives it such a nice and deep sound, and it's a keeper, except that I just acquired my 3rd guitar, and I don't have space in my room for 3 guitars. So will let this one go if I can find a suitable buyer.
Overall I spent over $2k for the guitar, setup and pickup upgrades.. I am letting it go now for only $1k.
