ABOUT THIS TAYLOR MODEL:
This rare Taylor Grand Concert (full solid Western Cedar top and a Claro Walnut back/sides) guitar is up for sale and will sit very comfortably (and prettily!) in your lap. The W12 model was only in production for 3 years and this particular guitar was made in El Cajon, California in 1998. Final year of production was in 2000 before Taylor ran out of the select Claro walnut material that went into building these beautiful W12 series guitars.
The body, rosette, headstock and fingerboard of this guitar are all bound in ivoroid and beautifully inlaid with abalone, the very same appointments found on classic high end 900 series Taylors from that era. This guitar has the old style neck which is made from one solid piece of mahogany. Nut width is 1 3/4". Original tusq saddle was recently upgraded to FMI. All other parts are original stock. No pickup installed but if you need one, the end-pin hole is already in the correct size for the installation of any standard pickups - so no additional drilling will be required. An excellent condition, original Pink Poodle hardshell case will also be included for this sale.
CONDITION:
Almost mint except for a small surface scratch which will not even be visible when one is playing on the guitar (i.e. covered under the right upper arm). See last photo of this post. Overall condition around 9.5/10, pretty awesome for a guitar that is 16 years old!
CONTACT FOR VIEWING:
If you need more details on this guitar, you can contact me via Whatsapp or SMS at Eight-1000-Five-18. You can also contact me for a non-obligatory viewing session at my place (Sat and Sun afternoons are best). This guitar sounds way better than the Youtube guitar video and looks more awesome than the photos on this post. Don’t miss out on this rare guitar made during the golden era of Taylor guitars!
Available for sale at S$3,900. I prefer a cash sale but will be open to very specific trades. No electric guitars please, acoustics only. If you have a nice Goodall available for a trade, I really want to hear from you!
