"With its ultra low 6 dBA self-noise and transformer less SMT circuitry, the RØDE NT1000 exhibits exceptional performance when recording both vocals and instruments in the studio.
Voiced for 'application versatility', the NT1000 has been hailed by many as the ultimate drum over-head and grand piano mic selection. The NT1000 is also equally at home as a first call vocal mic. "

The mic works and sounds fine as it should, only issue is the diaphragm is slightly loose within its mount and jiggles back and forth when moved or shaken.
Since most people don't run around with a condensor mic in hand when recording, it's not a major issue and can be fixed fairly easily by disassembling the body/headbasket and securing it with some epoxy/hotglue/whatever. I could've done just that and no one would be the wiser, but i'll leave that to the buyer to decide
Video demo showing that the mic is working available here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-_WN9-_WRU
I've got no issues using this in a pro studio so it should be just fine for a home setup, priced just over what a decent dynamic mic costs.
$150
comes with the RM2 mic clip shown.
$20 more and i'll throw in the straight mic stand shown in the video.
