Hi all,
Wishing to sell a Randall RG75 G2 Series combo amp. This is a 75 watt solid state amp which features a clean channel, an overdrive channel and a 12" Celestion Seventy 80 speaker. There are seperate EQ (Bass Mid Treble Level) and reverb controls for both clean and overdrive channels, as well as a master volume control.
First, the clean channel. Nothing fancy, the clean tone is clear, full bodied, and pristine. A boost switch introduces some grit to the tone to produce crunchier cleans.
Next, the overdrive channel. This is the part where the amp excels in. There are 2 gain controls to be selected in the overdrive channel: Gain 1 is "Classic Brit Hi-Gain" and gain 2 is "Modern Hi-Gain". You will hear deep aggressive "chugs" when you palm mute, and thick throaty lead tones on either gain channels. Gain 2 has better sustain, and sounds more compressed (ie you struggle less to achieve tight aggressive palm mutes that sustain better). In addition to EQ and reverb, the overdrive channel also has a contour knob and voicing switch to further sculpt your tone. I have been able to get a liquid sustain lead tone when I use Gain 1 with an overdrive pedal.
Peripherals wise, this amp also comes with a Phones Out, Line Out, an FX Loop, a 4 ohm and 8 ohm output to an external cab(not included ahaha), as well as a footswitch.
The amp is going for $450. Overall, this amp is a powerful metal amp at bedroom volumes. It probably has potential to be a loud amp, because I never turn the master volume above 12 o'clock. Also, it does sound scooped in general. This amp is definitely fully functional, and also cosmetically in very good condition because I take good care of it. If interested, pls contact @ HP:98731864.
Thanks for reading.
