I have noticed this trend of martin guitar owners who think they can sell their guitars at close to brand new price.

A new piece comes with warranty, free setups for a year and is usually scratch and blemish free. Unless you are offering the same services please don't expect the same prices.

Martins are good guitars - but so are the goodalls, gibsons and Other guitars being sold at a lower price on the forum. Even in guitars, there is such a concept known as wear and tear or depreciation. Price appreciation only occurs for very vintage pieces (made in the 60s).

Good luck on your sale but don't be surprised if no one meets the asking prices.

1250 to 1600 is a jump of $350 not a cut of $800. n you had the cheek to say others are overpriced.

if u want to lowball others, dont highball ur own gear.

Set up cost = 220
Freebies = 150

I am not gaining from the guitar. I am also prepared to negotiate on the price for nice buyers which will result in a loss.

For the record, I never made you an offer for your guitar. So I do not know why you are calling me a low baller. Perhaps it is better to try to sell your guitars at more reasonable prices rather than disturb people's threads?

Anyway we should take this offline if you wish to continue. Thanks.

As a sign of goodwill, I am lowering the price to 1.5k neg. :) Thanks all.

freebies already included in prev seller's pictures. setup $220 by who? a usual setup doesn't cost $220. are there inherent problems with the guitar for it to need a $220 setup?

u shouldn't have disturbed my thread in the first place, only to come up with such contradictory antics now with ur own sale thread.

Work was done by Malcolm Tan.

130 for the setup, 90 for fret dressing. Nothing serious.

My post on your thread was truthful advice. But you have resorted to name calling and petty tactics in an attempt to derail my sale.

Anyway I will no longer respond to your antagonistic responses. In the spirit of things - Have a happy cny.

i've been very hands off with other ppl's sale threads. i only posted in ur sales thread because its entirely contradictory to the shit u stirred at my thread first. talk about antagonistic n petty tactics to derail others' sale? i also never called u names, i called u lowballer (fair comment) in MY thread which u tried to spoil, for undermining my guitar n price. pls apply what you said at my thread first to YOURSELF

if i'm a buyer i'll check with malcolm if he indeed worked on this.

prev owner, who sold to u less than 1 week ago, has just told me u bought this for $1150 only. talk about lowballing others then highball your own gear.

respect others first instead of resorting to antagonistic petty thread spoiling antics. all these are truthful advice.

fret dressing done means fret life gone ;)
