Discontinued but highly sought after piece.
It has a solid spruce top and and solid mahogany back with mahogany sides.
Thus, makes it have a warm and sweetly clear. The wood of this guitar has been seasoned over a couple of years already and opens up really well now. Totally sounds like martin which has aged naturally. Additionally had a passive fishman pickup fixed at sinamex. Played on stage and it really sounds like those acoustics that can be played just by its own(without supporting instruments). Have to say its really beautiful martin guitar (Which I still can't let go off...) but I've to let go to fund my upgrade to higher-end martin guitar
Have fitted fitted in new Ernie ball slinky titanium wound strings that makes the guitar sound warm yet bright, if you get what I mean. Included also is a martin suede strap.
Cosmetically would rate it at 8.5/10
Selling for a low of $1100 really a steal especially for its specs and quality and additional pickup installed. Martin guitars at this price now comes with HPL back and sides which are one of their cost cutting measures. Well, I do believe in solid woods for their pure woody sound and laminates for their strength and durability
