These L-01's are rare to find. The signature and arguable most versatile and body Larrivee makes. This one is virtually unplayed with almost no freat wear and very few very minor scratches or flaws. Made with genuine Mahogany which is only getting more scarce and valuable. Current L-03's don't even use Mahogany because it's so scarce and expensive to use. Larrivee makes these "entry level" acoustics with the same structural features as extremely high end guitars. Other than asthetic differences like gloss finish, binding, rosette and inlay, this L-01 will have the same woody balanced tone of MUCH more expensive Larrivee's and has a great classic "no frill's - all guitar" look. It's simply great North-american made solid wood guitar without being flashy.
The features of these entry Larrivee, like ebony fingerboard with binding, beautiful all solid wood construction, and dovetail neck joint, compares to high end Martins and Taylors costing $1000's more! The sound of this particular one is loud and warm, with big bass response similar to a full dreadnaught and actually is even more alive and vibrant to many high-end Larrivees I've heard. These don't come around often, especially in this condition. Action is nice and low with working truss rod. Hate to let it go but it doesn't get played enough need make some space so someone else can enjoy it.
