Hi all, putting up my Uni-Vibe for sale. It's the discontinued first version with the dual outputs for stereo splitting, not the current production one with the optional foot controller for the vibrato. Looks like this:
Controls include a Mix, Speed, and Intensity knob, along with one input jack and 2(left/chorus, right/vibrato) output jacks. You can either use it for just its chorus effect by plugging into it's left output, or have both the vibrato and chorus effect mixed in by plugging in to the right output. By doing this, your mix knob will act like a blender pot, controlling how much vibrato/chorus is mixed with your dry signal. If you plug in both outputs, you get to experience the full potential of this pedal, having a stereo surround with your chorus, vibrato, and the rotating speaker effect made famous by Hendrix and Trower; Very cool, especially if you're the only guitarist in the band and have access to 2 amps on stage! Another sweet thing about this pedal is that its on-status LED will pulsate along the speed rate of the effect. I used to use it not just for the advertised modulation options, but also to thicken up my distortion, much like how Zakk Wylde uses his chorus sometimes. Setting your Speed knob to a lower setting and adjusting the Intensity knob to taste will pretty much make your distortion sound thicker and heavier.
One flaw about this particular pedal: It's previous owner made a hole in the back plate about the size of a $1/50 cent coin. No idea why, but as it didn't compromise any aspect of the pedal, I didn't pursue the matter. I've already covered up the hole by using an old arcade game token, attached using industrial-strength super glue. Other than that, I would rate the pedal's condition to be 9/10.
Usually sells on eBay for upwards of $130. I'm letting it go for $80 firm. No box or papers(previous owner lost it). Am free till this Friday to meet up at any time, anywhere between Orchard to Pasir Ris mrt station. Interested parties may reach me at 9070 9160. Cheers and thanks for looking!
