Hi all,
Wishing to sell an Ibanez GRG7221 guitar. This is a GIO 7 string guitar offered by Ibanez. It has a body in black finish (with some glitter), a maple neck with a 16" radius rosewood fingerboard, and black hardware. Some upgrades include:
-John Petrucci's signature Crunch Lab 7 in the bridge and Liquifire 7 in the neck. These are black and green with chrome poles. You can find reviews of the tone online. They suit me for what I play, usually prog style. They can go anywhere from heavy chunky riffing to vowel-like singing leads, or shred.
-Locking tuners for ease of stringing and tuning stability. These have a higher gear ratio for more precise tuning.
-Full setup done at a shop for low action and correct intonation.
I have also done some modifications to the guitar myself. I had the headstock decal rubbed out, and replaced with a green vinyl sticker type decal I purchased online. There are no scratches, nor traces of the old decal, and the green sticker decal can be easily removed/replaced. I have also replaced the fingerboard markers with beautiful abalone dots, and although cosmetically it was not a perfect job, playability is not affected at all.
Overall I would say this is a budget upgraded 7 string shred machine, that looks and plays well. I have owned the guitar for a year and a half, and the guitar has some dings and scratches here and there, and a couple patches of scratches at the back.
Selling for $400. Pls contact @ HP:98731864 if interested. Bag will not be included.
Thanks.
