I'm getting close to leaving Singapore so I am putting up a few more gems in case anyone is interested in some rare MIJ stuff.
This is a more recent Burny from Japan (don't confuse with the Chinese-made models) that is a non-catalog model with higher-end specs.
- 2-piece figured maple top
- Factory-installed Gibson pickups (I believe 490R, 7.8k in neck, likely 498T “Hot Alnico” pickup 13.5k in bridge).
- Has fret edge binding which disappeared from the regular line in the 1990s.
- The fretboard is very dark and could be ebony. It has very small pore lines. I can't be 100% sure but it looks that way to me.
- 59' profile neck (not too thin or fat).
- Frets are in 9/10 shape, very little wear
- Light for a custom at 4.2 kg
- Some small finish damage, not very noticeable. Finish crack in the headstock from finish shrinking
- I was told this urethane finished. Feels soft and similar to nitro in many ways.
- Electronics in fine working order
- Comes with a gig bag.
