Selling a Presentation Full Koa Goodall Jumbo Cutaway, made for the 1995 Namm Show. It truly is a special guitar, and is the same instrument pictured on the cover of Goodall Guitars' catalogue, which will be included in the sale.
Because it was made as a presentation piece for the NAMM show, the guitar features an inlaid Paua abalone backstrip and end graft, as well as Dove fingerboard and bridge inlays not usually found on other Goodall guitars.
The instrument is in an absolutely dead mint, time-capsule quality condition. No nicks or dings whatsoever, not even scratches on the pickguard. Zero fret wear on all frets. Tall saddle with low action (2.7mm at 12 fret, low E) points to a correctly set neck angle that optimizes volume while not sacrificing its fundamentals.
It does sound beautiful. Has the bass and rumble that only a 22-year old instrument can deliver, and articulation in the trebles that cuts through. Pretty amazing considering its a Koa hard wood top instead of spruce.
Specifications:
- Jumbo Model
- soft cutaway
- Presentation Grade Koa top back and sides
- paua abalone rosette, backstrip and end graft
- Ebony headplate, fingerboard, bridge, bridge and end pins, truss rod cover
- Dove inlays on fingerboard and bridge
- One-piece mahogany neck
- 1 3/4" nut
- maple binding on headstock and body
- Original Hardshell case
