Hello All, you are looking at a MINT and rare ESP guitar meant for Japan domestic market.
Unlike the regular US market Phoenix II, this version has a finished neck as compared to the US version which is satin finished.
The Phoenix II is ESP's antithesis of Gibson's Firebird model. It's still a through-body neck with an enhanced rib-cage bevel to promote playing comfort. The neck is slim & U-shaped. Every now & then, ESP finishes a select few of their regular production with a unique custom look - in this case you are looking at the custom sunburst Phoenix II. The regular ones are strictly black or white. The models sporting out of the blue finishes are only made known to dealers and definitely not privy to the mass market.
The pickups in the Phoenix II are Duncan JB/ '59 pair with shiny covers. JB is a menacing pickup in the midrange offering, while the '59 is renowned for its vintage sweetness, making it a versatile combination. The tuners are GOTOH's Magnum Lock which locks your strings well as you tune preventing strings from slipping as you tighten your tuners and hence easing the tuning process.
Super rare, I think I'm one of 2 person in Singapore who owns this.
